  • 1. What is “Fake enrolment” in PMKVY?

    If enrolled candidates confirm that they are not aware about of their enrolments under PMKVY scheme, or if they verify that they are not getting trained by the TC. It will be reported to sector coordinator immediately, as soon as it comes to notice. A recording on phone may be made as a proof.

  • 2. Which ID proof to be checked in some states of North East where Aadhaar ID is not applicable?

    In Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya- alternate identity proofs, such as PAN or Voter ID, may be accepted instead of the Aadhaar ID. Variations from the process shall not be permitted for the remaining North-East states, namely Sikkim and Tripura, where Adhaar Card as ID is mandatory.

  • 3. What are unethical practices during assessment?

    If the TC is found to be indulging in unethical practices, stringent action shall be taken. Unethical practices are:

    1. Offering any undue favor in cash or kind to assessors in order to influence the trainee’s results.
    2. Assessor demanding for any favors from TP in cash or kind for good and favorable results.
    3. Forging/ manipulating the result of the candidates will be unethical.
    4. Fake assessment done by the assessor for absent candidates.
    5. Visiting historical or tourist places at expense of TP

    In case of the above, assessor shall be blacklisted from Trendsetters and SSC and will be updated to PMKVY Monitoring Team. Training centre will also be black listed/barred.

  • 4. What action should be taken if TP/TC not found at the given address?

    This refers to such cases when it is found that the TC does not exist at the address mentioned at the time of center validation/ evaluation/ audit. If it is found that training center is at a different address, assessor should inform to the concerned person in Trendsetters. In such cases, report will be initiated to SSC and the assessment will be canceled, however the assessor will be paid for a minimum amount as fixed earlier.

  • 5. How do we pay for your services?

    Glocal Skill will raise invoices for its services basis pre-agreed terms. The client has the option to pay online or through transfer directly to our Bank account.

  • 6. Do I have to work alone on assignments?

    Depending upon the assignment requirement you might be required to work alone or as part of a client solution team comprising of other consultants with clear cut job allocations.

  • 7. How much do I get paid for the work I do?

    You will be paid basis a pre-agreed rate, which would be decided upon the complexity of the assignment and the time required to complete the assignment. The rates could be charged per-minute, per- hour or as mutually agreed. In any case the assignment is allocated to you only upon your concurrence and agreement on the rates as per your choice.

  • 8. Do I have to work exclusively with Glocal Skill?

    Your association with the platform is not exclusive in nature and you may continue working with your clients or other similar platforms as per your choice.

  • 9. How frequently will I get assignments from the Glocal Skill platform?

    The assignment frequency could be once every week or a few times a year depending upon your ability to execute the projects and also demand for your type of expertise by the clients.

  • 10. What is the procedure for enrolment as assessor?

  • 11. Will the Glocal Skill provide any training to the assessor?

    Yes, Glocal Skill will provide traning about the Skill India Ecosystem, Assessment Process, Assessor App  and Platform & domain. The training of assessors will be conducted by relevant Sector Skill Council/Awarding Body/Regulatory Authority. This is a mandatory training to be a certified assessor to relevant job roles.

  • 12. How will the assessor send his assessment report?

    It should be shared within 24 hours on mail and hard copy couriered to the company address.

  • 13. What will be the level of candidates to be assessed?

    The assessor has to assess the candidates who are  trained under the scheme of Skill Development for a specific vocational job role of his choice aligned to  NSQF Level.

  • 14. What is the qualification criteria of an assessor?

    The technical/educational qualification of relevant sector will be given by Sector Skill Concils (SSCs). However this will be supplemented by mandatory industry experience.

  • 15. What is the module of assessment?

    The assessment will be conducted by a Sector Skill Councils/Awarding Body approved professional with requisite Educational Qualification and industry experience. The assessment module consist of several methods to access the performance outcome of a trainee as per the Qualification pack (QP).It may be in form of Theory, Practical and Viva may form of theory as well as practical depending on the guidelines of SSC/AB.

  • 16. Apart from PMKVY, what other skill development schemes are operational in India?

    Apart from PMKVY, there are hundreds of skill initiatives operational right now in India. These include skill development schemes of various government ministries (like USTTAD, Nai Roshni, Seekho aur Kamao, UDAAN, MANAS, DDUGKY, NULM, SAMARTH,DGT), Mukhya Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana of various states and skill training program conducted by corporates as part of their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). These skill initiatives are run by various government ministries, government agencies, NSDC, PSUs, state governments, state skill development missions (SDMs), urban local bodies and corporates.

  • 17. What is PMKVY?

    Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. The objective is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood. Individuals with prior learning experience or skills will also be assessed and certified under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Under this Scheme, Training and Assessment fees are completely paid by the Government.

  • 18. What is “SKILL INDIA MISSION”?

    Skill India is a campaign launched by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 15 July 2015 which aims to train over 40 crore people in India in different skills by 2023. It includes various initiatives of the government like "National Skill Development Mission", "National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, 2015", "Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)" and the "Skill Loan scheme”. Skill India Mission is the umbrella campaign which encompasses all skill development activities currently operational in India.

  • 19. What is NCVET?

    The National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) was established as a regulatory body by the Government of India through Gazette Notification No. SD-17/113/2017-E&PW dated 5th December 2018. It has been fully operational since 1st August 2020. The NCVET serves as an overarching national regulator with the aim of setting standards, developing comprehensive regulations, and improving the vocational education, training, and skilling ecosystem.
